Police Tactical Training Center

G.M. Selby created a new electrical and mechanical design for the ammunition bunker and simulation buildings for Miami-Dade Police Department’s Tactical Training Center.

Our team designed interior and exterior lighting systems and facilitated the connection of simulation and ammunition buildings to existing rack mounted electrical equipment.  As part of the project, we were required to update the rack mounted equipment to account for the new buildings connection points. Other responsibilities included:

• Fire alarm connection
• Fire protection system design for both buildings
• Design of Air Conditioning system for buildings, and related heat load and energy code calculations
• Coordinate insulation values for roof and walls to comply with energy code calculations
• Communication (data/telephone) connections to buildings as required.
• Provide cost estimates
