Oceanside Plaza is a coastal high rise on Collins Avenue. During Hurricane Irma, the building underwent extreme cyclic loading due to hurricane winds which caused severe damage to the building.
G.M. Selby performed a thorough forensic investigation to assess the level of damage to the structure by visual observations and using Non-Destructive Testing techniques. Specifically, infrared thermography was used to detect moisture within walls and ceilings. Following research and analysis, our team designed and calculated an engineering solution to repair and fortify the structure to prevent further damage.
